Joy Division / New Order, Cocteau Twins, and David Bowie Books Now Online

The first three titles in The First Time I Heard series, which I've been compiling and editing for many months now, are finally available online. These first three volumes are on Joy Division / New Order; Cocteau Twins; and David Bowie. You can find them for 2.99 each (USD) on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the iTunes Bookstore. They're also available throughout the world on iTunes and in several countries on Amazon's other sites. (Someday I hope to have these done as "real" print books, or perhaps all of them together as one large volume--but for now, they're just available as e-books.)

The descriptions at these sites give a long list of the contributors to the volumes--many musicians and writers from the present and recent past, all writing short personal essays about their first experiences hearing these iconic music artists.

Below are the covers for the books, each one beautifully designed by Joel Westendorf, along with the links (for the US sites, anyway) where you can get them. Coming next are books on The Smiths and Kate Bush. After those two go online, I'll start compiling a new round of THE FIRST TIME I HEARD books... these on artists like Abba, My Bloody Valentine, Kraftwerk, R.E.M., The Pixies, and Roxy Music.
