East West Players
I just got back from L.A., where I was attending the opening night of a new production of Mysterious Skin, the stage adaptation of my novel by the wonderful Prince Gomolvilas. The show is being produced by the East West Players, an Asian-American theater company that performs in a gorgeous renovated church (where, I was psyched to discover, John Carpenter once filmed Prince of Darkness).
I should have blogged about the East West production earlier, but I was somewhat swamped with duties before leaving for L.A.... however, if you're in the area and want to see the show, you still have time, as it's running until October 10th. The show is already getting some good reviews, with hopefully more to follow.
(Above: David Huynh and Scott Keiji Takeda as Neil and Brian.)
I took photos on opening night; hopefully, I'll post those soon. More information about the production (as well as additional photos of the excellent cast) can be found here.
