Vietnam, Etcetera
Wow-- I've really and truly been the laziest person on earth when it comes to updating this blog and website. I suppose I've had pretty good reasons for the silence, though: for most of November, I was busy finishing a freelance textbook-writing project; after that, Michael and I took a two-week vacation to Vietnam; since then, we've had houseguests.
I'm already making a list of New Year's Resolutions, and updating this blog, for whatever it's worth, is one of the tasks on this list. I also plan to get busy on my next book, to write some short fiction again after many years of avoiding stories, to go back to the gym with a 3-times-a-week-or-more vengeance, and to return to my neglected "books to read" list.
In Vietnam, Michael and I went to Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, and Hanoi, with various touristy and off-the-beaten-track stops along the way. This was easily one of the most amazing trips I've ever taken. While there, I took many, many photographs. Although I've made captions for them, I'm too busy at present to include those here, so I'm going to simply post some below. This is just a small representative fraction of our Vietnam trip!
I promise to return here soon with more of the regular blog material.
