Excellent choice. It's a hungover Sunday morning, the heavens have opened outside and my kitchen has turned into a 1980s disco memory bank. Sparks ... words can't describe, etc. Time to go and find Blancmange, 'Waves' or 'Living on the Ceiling' will suffice. If only, if only, IF ONLY I had a copy of 'We Disappear' to peruse while remembering ...

Huge hugs coming your way, Scott x

I totally forgot about Let's Active!
I just started "We Disappear". I love it's mood so far. I'll comment further once I have finished it. Thanks, Scott.

Hey, Scott! I've been gone for a while but I just found your blog again. Just wanted to say that as usual, you have the best 80's videos around! I had totally forgotten about that Comsat Angels band/song. And the Church...always a favorite. I met them once in a parking lot in Atlanta, GA. Their tour bus was parked there and I stopped cause I saw them all out next to it, and it turned out they were lost trying to find the club they were playing at that night. I gave them directions. They were very nice. And the Translator song! I used to have that album...I'd forgotten all about them. And Split Enz! There's really nothing more to say!

Thanks!

I used to have a mad crush on Sparks. (they're still kind of cute, too).
Remember their song with Jane Wiedlin?

Congrats on the book, i'm so excited to read it-- and glad to have you back in the blogosphere.

The Chams, the Church, and the Comsat Angels. Perfect. (Though how you narrowed it down to those three songs... I don't envy you that task.)
