German MSKIN Reprint

Hey y'all. I'll update this blog in a few days or so. In the meantime, let me note that the Comments section of the blog is going through some problems and changes again, but very soon you'll be able to post again. I've just had way, way, way too much bad luck with spammers lately, so we're trying something different.

In the meantime...

above is a not-very-good reproduction of the cover for the new German reprint of Mysterious Skin, just out from Bruno Gmunder. (This publisher mostly used to publish gay photo books and the like, but they're starting to branch out into literature.) I like this cover--it's TONS better than the original German edition of the novel from '96, which had a cover so atrocious I won't even upload a photo of it here.

I can't believe it's September already. Okay, off to watch TiVo: (ahem)
Big Brother All-Stars and a huge batch of Little Britain episodes (an obsession of mine; see photos below for some of my favorite characters).

Honestly, I'm just commenting to test out this TypeKey dealy. That, in itself, probably amounts to spamming :P

I will say, however, that 'Little Britain' is on my Netflix queue, and should be coming up pretty quickly. We generally don't rent a lot of comedy series regularly (with the exception of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'), so this should provide a welcome break from all these absurdly heavy films we seem to have added ('Humanite', 'Manderlay' ... and -- oh! -- Michael Haneke's entire early oeuvre).

Hopefully this'll be up and working again now... thanks for being patient!

Comments are working again, but now you have to login to TypeKey.com (TypeKey accounts are free if you don't already have one) before you're allowed to post a comment. I know it's a lousy extra step, but we're hoping it will fend off the spammerz.
