Here's a kind of video Xmas card I made that uses THE WAITRESSES. Hope you have a laugh and want to pass it on...

awesome. Two good potential adds: "Snowfall" by The Halo Benders and "Winter Wooskie" by Belle and Sebastian.

I'd add "Christmas for Cowboys" by Jars of Clay, for a kind of Brokeback Mountain Christmas...

This is apropos of absolutely nothing you've written in this entry (although I will give a big "thumbs up" to your musical tastes!); I just thought I should comment and let you know that I've been a regular reader of your blog.

Seven or eight years ago, when I was starting my first year of undergraduate work, we corresponded by email for a while after I (initially) impulsively wrote to you to express my enjoyment of your writing. Perhaps needless to say, the same holds true today; and I am eagerly anticipating reading your new novel when it is published.

I also wanted to mention that I thought the film adaptation of Mysterious Skin was phenomenally well-executed -- but I don't think many people are disputing that!

In any case, I'm glad that you're doing well, and wish you continued success.
