Independent Spirit
Word today that the Independent Spirit Awards have nominated Gregg Araki for Best Director for MSkin. Kick ass. Hopefully this will boost awareness of the film. I was hoping for Joe or Brady or someone else in the cast to get nominations, too, but it looks like the competition was tough.

gordon-levitt should get a best actor nod from someone - his vulnerability as he's getting undressed in that one scene said more to me than a million autistic dustin hoffman characters.

I read that on some other website and it made me happy that Gregg was being appreciated for his amazing job on Mysterious Skin. I really hope he wins.
